My first career was as a busy corporate lawyer in private practice. After having my first child, like many new mums, I piled on the weight and by the time baby number 2 came around my weight was in triple figures. My health was suffering, I was way heavier than my husband and I had no energy to keep up with my active toddler; even walking around the shops was a struggle! I was in drastic need of a change in diet, lifestyle and frame of mind. I realised I'd been putting up artificial barriers: "No time, too busy, too tired and too expensive" were all excuses for what seemed "too hard". Enough was enough: it was time to take control and invest in myself. I started exercising and eating healthily. Every few kilos lost were replaced by a new milestone and sense of achievement. Friends and people I knew noticed my new found energy and were inspired to join me; at first running, then early morning bootcamps and finally zany fitness challenges such as Tough Mudder. It was then I realised that I was more passionate about motivating others and a career in personal training than I was in stepping back into the office. I haven't looked back since: these days I am over 30kg lighter and have a new lease of life. Let me help you achieve your health and fitness goals: YOU CAN DO IT TOO !
